Avi Obie is a video producer, photographer, and creator based in Connecticut. After taking a Video Production class in their sophomore year of high school, they oriented their career plans towards video content creation. Throughout their BFA studies in Film/Video Production at UConn, they've created works focused on horror, comedy, human connection and representation. In parallel to their BFA, they've also pursued dual minors in American Sign Language & Deaf Studies and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. During this time, they've worked as an intern mentoring high schoolers to create eco-digital activism projects, and as the head of Public Relations/Social Media for the UConn Rainbow Center. Avi is interested in continuing community work and creating videos to further diverse representation within the film industry.
